Esteban Ribovics is in good company after continuing his lucrative run inside the Octagon at UFC Vegas 108.

Saturday’s UFC Fight Night at the Apex had a lineup short on star power that was being widely criticized in the lead-up, but it still was not short on action.

What the card lacked in name value it made up for with a number of memorable fights and finishes. And among the men responsible for that was Ribovics, an always entertaining lightweight who joined an exclusive club with his latest triumph at the Apex.

Esteban Ribovics followed in Nate Diaz and Justin Gaethje’s footsteps with third straight FOTN bonus

UFC Vegas 108 saw Ribovics go to war with Elves Brener on the main card. After three rounds of enthralling and brutal action at the Apex, many were left putting the pair’s contest into Fight of the Year contention.

With that in mind, it was not at all surprising to see the pair walk away with an additional $50,000 each after collecting Fight of the Night honors. For Ribovics, that certainly won’t have been a new feeling.

The Argentine brawler has now collected three FOTN awards in a row. Ribovics’ split decision Sphere win over Daniel Zellhuber last September and close defeat on the scorecards to Nasrat Haqparast this past March also saw ‘El Gringo’ walk away with some extra cash.

Achieving that feat has put Ribovics among some of the UFC’s all-time entertainers. Nate Diaz, Diego Sanchez, Justin Gaethje, and Brian Ortega are some of the names to have notched three straight FOTN bonuses.

UFC Vegas 108 had another rare moment after two matchups claimed FOTN

When it comes to exiting the Apex $50k richer courtesy of FOTN checks, Ribovics and Brener were not alone.

The promotion awarded the honor to two bouts, after the thrilling co-main event between Chris Duncan and Mateusz Rebecki was also recognized as one of the year’s best scraps to date.

Emerging victorious from that bout was the Scotsman, whose decision victory in an absolute bloodbath in Las Vegas extended his win streak to three.

There were different kinds of fireworks in the main event, with Tatsuro Taira submitting Hyun Sung Park just 66 seconds into round two. But the Japanese star missed out on a performance bonus after the UFC opted to only give out the two FOTN awards for UFC Vegas 108.
