Charles Oliveira’s teammate took out a last-minute replacement at UFC Vegas 110.
Tonight’s fights wrapped up with a first-round knockout in the main event as Steve Garcia quickly ran through David Onama with punches.
In the co-headliner, Tom Aspinall’s training partner Ante Delija celebrated like he had won after he poked Waldo Cortes-Acosta in the eye and proceeded to land follow-up strikes. However, Cortes-Acosta was given time to recover and he came back to knock out Delija inside of the opening round.
Brazil’s Allan Nascimento kicked off the main card of UFC Vegas 110 with his 15th career win by submission.
The UFC flyweight from Chute Boxe credited ‘Do Bronx’ for his latest finish.
Charles Oliveira is the most prolific submission artist in UFC history.
Nascimento took a page out of his teammate’s book when he submitted 14-fight UFC veteran Cody Durden with an Anaconda choke in the second round.
“We train for that,” Nascimento said in a post-fight interview with UFC.com.
“Charles Oliveira [taught] me,” Nascimento said of his fight-winning Anaconda choke.
“It’s a very good choke from him.
“And we train this in warm-up before the fight, so I [submitted] him with this choke,” Nascimento added.
“Charles Oliveira (taught) me. It's a very good choke from him.”

Nascimento is now riding a four-fight win streak.
Nascimento has wins over Jafel Filho, Carlos Hernandez, and Jake Hadley.
While his submission win over Durden was at a catchweight of 130 lbs, the Brazilian may have a number next to his name, come Tuesday, when the new UFC rankings come out.

Following his win, Nascimento asked for a fight with former UFC title challenger Steve Erceg.
Erceg recently got back to the win column against Ode Osbourne after losing three fights in a row to the current champion Alexandre Pantoja, Kai Kara-France, and former champ Brandon Moreno.
