Usman Nurmagomedov, Brett Johns sign with Bellator

ESPN's Ariel Helwani reported on Friday that Usman Nurmagomedov, younger cousin of undefeated UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, and UFC veteran Brett Johns have both signed multi-fight deals with Bellator.

Usman Nurmagomedov turned pro in 2017 and has compiled a perfect 11-0 record with 10 finishes across those contests. He is expected to debut in the Bellator lightweight division in either December or January. No opponent has yet been named for Nurmagomedov.

Johns, a 28-year-old bantamweight, won his last two UFC bouts, including a July clash with Montel Jackson. He earned victories in five of his seven UFC contests from November 2016 through this past summer and holds a record of 17-2-0.

Sources told Helwani that Johns' debut date and opponent haven't yet been set.
