Valentina Shevchenko dove in to defend Joe Rogan this week, and would do it again after admitting she is a massive fan of the UFC commentator.

The legendary flyweight champion is set to defend her belt against strawweight queen Weili Zhang next week at UFC 322 in Madison Square Garden. However, she turned her attentions to a different icon of the cage this week as she took on Rousey verbally on X.

And speaking with Bloody Elbow in her role as a Stake Ambassador today, Shevchenko explained that she thinks Rogan is a great influence on young men. And she believes should be encouraged to speak freely to his audience, which Rousey mocked during an appearance on Bert Kreischer’s Bertcast.

Valentina Shevchenko launches yet another defence of Joe Rogan

When Ronda Rousey launched her attack on Joe Rogan, many fans seemed confused as to just what started the beef. However, Valentina Shevchenko was one of the only fighters to speak out in favor of the veteran commentator, who is one of the most famous podcasters and comedians on the planet.

“I feel the truth has to be the first thing,” Shevchenko explained. “So when I see something that’s not right, I try to make things right. Joe Rogan is an amazing expert of martial arts, and he is a good example for youth.

“He is a hunter, he’s an artist, a musician, a sportsman. These are all qualities for a successful man and all qualities for the youth for what they have to look for. If someone started to speak very low of these qualities, it’s not right.

“It doesn’t matter what is the reason, something personal or not, you just cannot do that. Especially if you have people who listen to you, you have to speak things right. I am that kind of person, if I feel something is unfair I say ‘this is not the way, this is the right way’ and I just felt it was the right thing to make this post.”
