Watch: McGregor nearly attacked by crazed fan

Former two-division UFC champion Conor McGregor was in Dubai on Friday to promote BKFC 71.

McGregor is part owner of Bare Knuckles Fighting Championship and as of late, become the promotional face of the championship organization.

After the event, McGregor interacted with fans, signing autographs, and taking photos when a fan tried to attack him from behind.

McGregor’s security team quickly thwarted the attempt leaving them fan blooded.

Conor McGregor hasn’t fought since 2021. He suffered a broken leg against Dustin Poirier at UFC 274.

After coaching in the UFC’s Ultimate Fighter opposite Michael Chandler, the pair were supposed to face off last June, but McGregor pulled out of the fight due to a toe injury.

A possible return has been discussed but nothing has come about of the negations.

In recent weeks, met with US president Donald Trump at the White House. After meeting with President Trump, McGregor has hinted at the possibility at retirement and a political run for his country’s next president.

In order to get his name on the ballot, McGregor has to have support from within the Parliament or local authorities. Irish presidential candidates must garner the support of 20 parliament members or the backing of four of Ireland’s local authorities.
