Barber suffered her first loss in the UFC with a unanimous decision defeat at UFC 246.
Roxanne Modafferi defeated Barber in an unexpectedly gruesome fight. Modafferi caught “the future” midway through the fight and opened up a cut on her head.
Blood poured down her face and onto the mat in one of the bloodiest UFC contests seen in a while.
Barber’s next fight is against Erin Blanchfield at UFC Vegas 107 on May 31, 2025.
The fight was originally scheduled to take place, but Barber pulled out for undisclosed reasons, and the fight was cancelled.
Years later, the fight is back on. With Barber #5 and Blanchfield #4 in the rankings, both women will be expecting the winner to get a shot at UFC Women’s Flyweight Champion Valentina Shevchenko with a win in this contest.
Barber suffered back-to-back defeats when she stepped into the octagon with Alexa Grasso just weeks after her loss to Modafferi.
“The Future” was outfought throughout the fight, struggling to get near Grasso as she sent numerous combinations flying.
Grasso took her time and had no trouble countering Barber, which the judges saw as they gave her the unanimous decision win after 5 rounds.
