The NASCAR Cup Series will head to The Sunflower State this weekend. After an exciting weekend at Texas Motor Speedway, it’s time for Kansas Speedway to welcome the circuit to town.
Last season, Kyle Larson won the May iteration of this race, while Ross Chastain was victorious during the playoffs in September. While Larson already has a couple wins in 2025, Chastain could certainly benefit from locking himself into the chase for the championship with a trip to Victory Lane. Perhaps he can go back to back at Kansas to do so.
With that in mind, FanDuel Sportsbook has released their betting lines for the entire field for this coming weekend’s race. Check out the full odds below, and see if your favorite driver has a shot at the dub.
Kyle Larson started fourth at Texas, and that’s where he finished when the checkered flag waved. He’s hitting his stride, and that’s never been more evident, as the Hendrick Motorsports star is a threat to win week-in and week-out.
If you’re expecting Larson to fall out, don’t bet on it happening at Kansas. He won this race in 2024 in a photo-finish, and he’s been to Victory Lane at the track twice in total. It’s one of his best, and he could assert his dominance once again in The Sunflower State.
William Byron started on the front row, and contended for the lead throughout the Wurth 400 over the weekend. While it wasn’t meant to be due to a slew of errors late in the race, the Hendrick Motorsports star still finished P13, which isn’t too shabby of an afternoon.
With Kansas on the horizon, Byron has never won at the track, but he’s come close multiple times. He finished as the runner-up here last fall, so we’ll see if he can do one position better.
Texas Motor Speedway seemed like it would be right in Tyler Reddick’s wheelhouse. That wasn’t the case this past weekend though. He never could truly get going, as the No. 45 started P17 and finished P21 when the dust settled on Sunday.
Will Kansas provide a different story? Reddick won there in the fall of 2023, but he had a rough go of it last season at the venue. Maybe he can get his first win of the season this weekend at the exciting track.
Ryan Blaney has watched as his Penske teammates Austin Cindric and Joey Logano have won the past two NASCAR Cup Series races. While Blaney has come close in 2025, he’s yet to win his first race of the season, but Texas was promising. He finished P3.
Looking ahead to Kansas, this will be the 21st time Blaney is racing at the track. While he’s never won, he’s performed well. He finished fourth here last fall.
Denny Hamlin was confident in his abilities heading into Texas. He even went as far as to throw up the “Horns Down” gesture to the crowd to elicit a response during introductions. Karma got to him though, as Hamlin’s engine failed him, leading to a dead-last finish on Sunday.
Luckily, Kansas is one of Hamlin’s top tracks in the Cup Series. He almost never has a bad finish inside The Sunflower State, and he has four wins at the track.
Christopher Bell’s performance has tapered off a bit after his three consecutive wins earlier in the season. Still, he was able to notch a solid top ten finish at Texas, coming home P9 after starting in the middle of the pack.
Moving ahead to Kansas, Bell always has speed here, as he’s started on the pole three consecutive times. However, he’s never won at the track in the Cup Series. Perhaps that changes this coming weekend.
Joey Logano battled throughout the entire afternoon at Texas. While it wasn’t a popular win, the No. 22 Ford wheelman will take any chance he gets to end up in Victory Lane, and he deserves his flowers for righting the ship after an uneven start to 2025.
With Kansas the next track the Cup Series will head to, can Logano go back to back? He’s won at Kansas twice in 31 tries, so he seems to be due for another.
Chase Elliott returned to the site of his last NASCAR Cup Series win looking to make an impact. Unfortunately, he wasn’t really a factor throughout the afternoon. He started P29, and he finished P16 when the checkered flag waved. A painfully average performance.
It feels like something has to change for Elliott. He’s won at Kansas before, but that was back in 2018. He needs a bit of magic to inspire confidence, sooner rather than later.
