2025 NASCAR Cup Series Championship Odds: Updated betting lines following Las Vegas

The odds for the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series champion have been updated following an eventful weekend at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Denny Hamlin’s victory not only marked his 60th career win but also secured his spot in the Championship 4, setting the stage for a pressure-packed showdown at Talladega Superspeedway.

With Hamlin locked in, the rest of the playoff field now faces one of the sport’s most unpredictable challenges. A win at Talladega would guarantee a trip to Phoenix for any remaining contender, but as history shows, chaos often reigns in Alabama — just ask Ricky Stenhouse Jr., who played spoiler there last fall.

With that in mind, BetMGM Sportsbook has unveiled its updated championship odds heading into the final three races. Here’s how the title picture looks as NASCAR’s best prepare for the mayhem of Talladega.

Denny Hamlin (+260)

Denny Hamlin stole the show in Las Vegas, scoring his 60th career win and clinching a spot in the Championship 4. The emotional victory came after a dominant performance late in the race, adding to his remarkable 2025 season.

Now, Hamlin heads to Talladega with no pressure but plenty of momentum. With two previous wins at the track, he can afford to be aggressive — and that makes him even more dangerous in a sense.

Kyle Larson (+350)

Kyle Larson came up just short in Las Vegas, finishing second behind Denny Hamlin after a strong showing. While it wasn’t the win he wanted, it reinforced Larson’s position as one of the championship favorites.

Talladega, however, remains one of the few tracks Larson hasn’t conquered. He nearly won there earlier this season with a runner-up finish, and with his current form, it wouldn’t be surprising to see him finally close the deal on Sunday.

Christopher Bell (+400)

Christopher Bell impressed yet again at Las Vegas, securing a third-place finish after running near the front. The result marked another step forward for the Joe Gibbs Racing driver, who continues to find speed when it matters most at this point of the season.

Talladega, however, has been less kind to Bell over the years. While he’s still searching for his first win there, he does have a top-five finish to his name — and with JGR’s superspeedway strength, he could change that narrative on Sunday.

Ryan Blaney (+525)

Ryan Blaney’s trip to Las Vegas ended in heartbreak, finishing 38th after an early wreck took him out of contention. The defending Cup Series champion never had a chance to recover, putting him in a deep playoff hole heading into Talladega.

Fortunately for Blaney, few drivers are better at the superspeedway. With three career wins at Talladega — including back-to-back triumphs in 2019 and 2020 — he’ll be one of the top contenders to rebound and keep his championship hopes alive.

William Byron (+800)

William Byron’s chance to win at Las Vegas unraveled, as he finished 36th after contact with Ty Dillon brought his day to a shocking end. It was a tough setback for the Hendrick Motorsports driver, who entered the weekend with momentum and championship aspirations.

Despite never winning at Talladega, Byron has quietly become one of the most consistent performers there. With five consecutive top-10 finishes at the track, he’s proven he can balance aggression and patience — and that consistency might have to pay off in a big way this weekend.

Chase Briscoe (+1000)

Chase Briscoe put together another great performance at Las Vegas, finishing fourth after showing solid speed throughout the race. It was a much-needed run as he looks to make the Championship 4 in his first season with Joe Gibbs Racing.

Though Briscoe has yet to win at Talladega, he’s proven capable of contending near the front, scoring a top-five finish there in April 2023. If he can avoid the inevitable chaos and position himself well in the closing laps, he might just be in the mix for his first superspeedway victory.

Chase Elliott (+1100)

Chase Elliott never rebounded from some issues at Las Vegas, finishing 18th in the pivotal race. The result cost him valuable ground in the standings, leaving Talladega as a crucial opportunity to rebound.

Luckily, Elliott thrives in these types of moments, with two career Talladega victories to his name. If he can stay out of trouble in the draft, he has the speed and savvy to climb right back into the Championship 4.

Joey Logano (+1200)

Joey Logano put together a strong run in the South Point 400, finishing sixth but he’ll need more than that to keep his playoff campaign alive. The three-time champion showed solid speed and avoided the chaos that sidelined several contenders.

Talladega has historically been kind to Logano, who’s earned three wins there in his career. With Team Penske’s superspeedway prowess and his knack for positioning late in races, Logano should be viewed as a legitimate threat to once again punch his ticket to Phoenix.
