Bubba Wallace has a familiar face back sponsoring his No. 23 Toyota for this weekend’s race at Phoenix Raceway.

As the NASCAR Cup Series returns to the desert, the US Air Force is back adorning Wallace’s car. The sponsor previously graced Wallace’s vehicle when he was driving for Richard Petty, in the No. 43 a couple of seasons ago.

Now, they’ve rekindled their relationship with Wallace, and are hoping their driver can get them to Victory Lane at Phoenix on Sunday. Check out the paint scheme below, it’s a pretty slick one.

As you can see, Air Force is back with a vengeance on Wallace’s car. That’s going to be one of the best looking rides on the track in Phoenix, as the Cup Series goes into their fourth weekend of the campaign.

Earlier this offseason, Wallace explained why couldn’t be happier with Air Force returning, releasing a statement on how special it is to join forced once again, this time at 23XI Racing.

“It’s really special to once again be partnered with the men and women who make up the United States Air Force,” Wallace said in a team release. “My previous experience with the folks from the Air Force was awesome and I had the chance to meet a lot of great airmen who do some amazing things each and every day.

“I’m looking forward to welcoming them to 23XI and showing them what we’re all about as we work together to try and accomplish the impossible.”

Additionally, 23XI team president Steve Lauletta added a statement on the matter, elaborating on how the Air Force and 23XI Racing will work together for the betterment of Wallace’s season.

“The Air Force and 23XI recognize that teamwork is the most critical component in achieving success,” Lauletta added. “We look forward to moving forward together to achieve our collective goals both on the track and in the broader community.”

Thus far in 2024, Wallace has shown to be supremely motivated, as his finished in P5 at both Daytona and Atlanta, the only driver to do so during the first two weeks of the season. However, his luck ran out in Las Vegas, like it does for many, and he finished a couple of laps off the pace when the dust settled.

A bounce back performance with Air Force on the hood is just what the doctor ordered for Bubba Wallace. We’ll see if he’s able to get the job done in Phoenix for 23XI Racing on Sunday afternoon.
