3Chi to return as primary sponsor for Kyle Busch in 2024

Richard Childress Racing announced Tuesday that 3Chi will return as the primary sponsor for Kyle Busch’s No. 8 Chevrolet in 2024.

3Chi, a leader in the science of natural, hemp-based consumable and therapeutic products, served as Busch’s primary sponsor for eight races in 2023, his first season with RCR.

“Our relationship with Richard Childress Racing continues to take 3CHI to higher levels,” said Justin Journay, chief executive officer of 3CHI. “On-track, it’s been fun to see the success of the No. 8 team and Kyle Busch, and off-track it’s been incredibly powerful to showcase the best cannabis company in the world and highlight 3CHI’s vast array of cannabinoid products and science-backed formulations.”

It’s currently unclear how many races 3Chi will serve as the primary sponsor this season.

“Much like RCR, 3CHI has been a pioneer in their industry while focusing on technology and innovation,” said Torrey Galida, president of RCR. “Through their partnership with RCR, 3CHI has been able to highlight their innovative spirit and introduce their products to a new and passionate fan base. We’re proud to continue the relationship in 2024.”

Busch and RCR have welcomed an array of new sponsors over the past year, including 3Chi. For this Sunday’s Daytona 500, Busch’s No. 8 Chevrolet will be primary sponsored by zone Premium Nicotine Pouches. Rebel Bourbon signed a sponsorship agreement last month, allowing it to become the official bourbon of the race team, the No. 8 Chevrolet and Busch.

A two-time champion, 63-time winner, two-time Brickyard 400 winner, Coca-Cola 600 winner and one of NASCAR’s 75 Greatest Drivers, Busch has nearly done it all in the Cup Series. But it’s missing one thing: A victory in the biggest race of them all, the Daytona 500.

Busch is 0-18 in “The Great American Race,” though he has come close on many occasions. He finished second in 2019, third in 2016 and fourth in 2008. But close doesn’t cut it. Close doesn’t get you a spot at the table next to the immortals of the sport such as Richard Petty, Dale Earnhardt Sr. and Jeff Gordon among others.

Busch is hopeful that start No. 19 will be the one.

“Man, I would love nothing more than to win the Daytona 500,” Busch told Bob Pockrass of FOX Sports. “It’s been feast or famine it seems and there’s been a lot of years where I finish second, or I finish third — there’s five, six times I can count on. The rest of the time it’s ending up with crash on the hook and going back to the trailer early. It would be nice to get it done this year and be in victory lane celebrating at the end of the night.”
