The first of what could be many delays and cancelations, the ARCA Menards Series will not take to the track at 1:30 PM EST. Qualifying is canceled as NASCAR hurries to dry the track surface for the Xfinity Series.
There is a good deal of rain expected this weekend. Be prepared to hear this story time and time again from now through Sunday. Right now, the ARCA Menards Series, which features Frankie Muniz again this weekend, will not qualify.
We should hopefully get to watch Xfinity Series practice and qualifying as well as the ARCA race later tonight. The ARCA officials want to get a practice session in if possible.
UPDATE: General Tire Pole qualifying from @MISpeedway has been canceled. Series and track officials are working to get cars on track for practice before tonight's Henry Ford Health 200.

With the Xfinity Series also trying to practice and qualify, there is only so much time that ARCA can use. There is clearly a pecking order in this situation that needs to be followed. The national series gets preference over the development series, duh.
For the ARCA Menards Series, it is a minor setback. As long as they can get the race in tonight, it will all be fine. However, given the track size, speeds, and the fact it is a development series, practice time would be good to get.
This year, it was been all about the part-time drivers. No full-time driver in the national series have won a race this season. However, Andres Perez is hoping to carry the points battle all the way to the championship.
UPDATE: ARCA practice is scheduled for 2:15 PM EST. The ARCA Menards Series field will have 30 minutes on the track. Xfinity Series practice will then take the track at 3:30 with qualifying afterward. ARCA race at 6:00 PM EST.
Looking at the entry list, tonight is likely the best night for a full-time driver to get a win. Tanner Gray is in the 18 car instead of William Sawalich. Sawalich has not turned 18 yet and therefore can’t race on these big tracks.
However, Connor Zilisch is in the field. So, that means we will have a good battle for Gray if he were to run away with the race in that Joe Gibbs Racing car. Zilisch is one heck of a talent and will surely be in the mix tonight.
You also have Andres Perez and Lavar Scott. The Rev Racing duo have been doing all they can to get to Victory Lane. Perhaps the large oval that is Michigan International Speedway will be where they get the job done.
ARCA Menards Series practice is coming up. That should give us a good idea of who is fast and who is not. Which driver are you picking for tonight’s race?
