Austin Cindric topped the speed chart in a NASCAR Cup Series practice session at Watkins Glen that saw drivers have to make laps in wet and dry conditions and on wet-weather and slick tires.
The session also saw significant tire wear and fall-off throughout and drivers consistently sliding around the New York road course.
Carson Hocevar, Ty Gibbs, Christopher Bell and Chris Buescher rounded out the top five, with Kyle Busch, AJ Allmendinger, William Byron, Tyler Reddick and Erik Jones completing the top 10.
Surprisingly, the Trackhouse Racing duo of Shane van Gisbergen and Connor Zilisch both found themselves outside of the top 10 at the end of practice. Van Gisbergen slotted in 11th, while Zilisch, a 19-year-old rookie, was down in 21st.
Other notable practice results include Michael McDowell in 12th, Ryan Blaney in 14th, Denny Hamlin in 16th, Chase Elliott in 22nd and Kyle Larson in 31st.
Katherine Legge was last (38th) in the session and ran only six laps after her No. 78 Chevrolet failed inspection twice prior to practice.
Cup Series qualifying from Watkins Glen is next on Prime Video. The Go Bowling at The Glen will go green shortly after 3 p.m. ET Sunday, with coverage on FS1, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
