No driver has ever won three consecutive NASCAR Xfinity Series races at EchoPark Speedway (formerly Atlanta Motor Speedway).
Winston, Georgia, native Austin Hill has the opportunity to do just that and make history at his home track on Friday.
The reconfiguration of Atlanta into a drafting track coincided with Hill's first full-time Xfinity Series campaign in 2022. Since 2022, Hill and Richard Childress Racing have become the undisputed kings of Xfinity Series superspeedway racing.
In seven starts at the reconfigured version of Atlanta, Hill has five victories, including three in a row. His other two stars? A runner-up finish in March 2022 and a 12th-place finish in the summer of 2023.
It's safe to say that Hill is the favorite — and he is, coming in at +175, per BetMGM — to win Friday's race and become the first driver to ever win four consecutive Xfinity Series races at Atlanta.
Hill led 146 of 163 laps at the 1.5-mile track in February, and with the guaranteed drafting help of his RCR teammates and fellow superspeedway ace Jesse Love, Hill will likely be in the mix in the closing laps, barring a crash or mechanical issue.
Hill has become the pied piper of Xfinity Series superspeedway racing — where he goes, the field follows, even when following Hill is to the detriment of the field.
Hill enters Friday's race second in the Xfinity Series standings, 82 points behind leader and defending champion Justin Allgaier. A win on Friday wouldn't only be Hill's fourth in a row at Atlanta, but his fourth victory of the 2025 season and a route to whittling down Allgaier's points lead.
