Breaking down the penultimate round of NASCAR's In-Season Challenge

On Sunday, Ty Dillon, John Hunter Nemechek, Ty Gibbs and Tyler Reddick will compete in the penultimate round of NASCAR's In-Season Challenge. Here's what you need to know before four drivers compete for the opportunity to win $1 million at Indianapolis on July 27.

(12) John Hunter Nemechek vs (32) Ty Dillon

Dillon has much more Cup Series experience at Dover compared to Nemechek, but neither driver has experienced much success at the "Monster Mile." In 11 Dover starts, Dillon has an average finish of 25.1 — but he did lead 27 laps and finish 14th at Dover in June 2017. Another top-15 finish could be what propels him to the final round.

Nemechek only has three Cup Series starts at Dover. His average finish in those starts is 21.3, but he has improved from his starting position by an average of over nine positions in those three races.

Dillon and Nemechek will start 21st and 28th, respectively, in Sunday's race.

(23) Tyler Reddick vs (6) Ty Gibbs

Reddick and Gibbs have both been solid at Dover in their limited action at the one-mile track, but neither driver looks to necessarily be a favorite to win. Gibbs does boast the better Dover average finish of 11.5, but that's only in two starts where he finished 13th and 10th. Reddick, meanwhile, has made six starts at Dover and has an average finish of 14.5. In his two starts with 23XI Racing, however, Reddick has finished seventh and 11th, giving him a slight statistical edge over Gibbs.

Reddick and Gibbs will start fourth and ninth, respectively, in Sunday's race.

The Autotrader EchoPark Automotive 400 at Dover will go green shortly after 2 p.m. ET on Sunday, with coverage on TNT, PRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
