NASCAR issued an official suspension to members of the 23XI Racing team for violations occurring last weekend’s action at Naval Base Coronado.

The sport announced the official suspensions on Tuesday.

"Rear-tire changer Adam Hartman and jackman Nathan Ricketts have been suspended for the next two events, running through Chicagoland Speedway on July 5, after a detachment of Bubba Wallace’s right-front wheel on Lap 18 in Sunday’s Anduril 250 on the Qualcomm Circuit at Naval Base Coronado, causing a caution and violating Sections 8.8.10.4.A&D in the NASCAR Rule Book," NASCAR announced.

"Despite the caution and subsequent two-lap penalty, Wallace finished the race in second, his best finish so far in 2026."

Wallace is having to work with some replacement crew members at the Sonoma Raceway on Sunday. And he's frustrated.

During qualifying on Saturday, Wallace crashed out.

Prior to crashing out, Wallace spoke about how difficult and impactful the suspensions are for his team.

Wallace speaks out on 23XI Racing suspensions

Wallace spoke out.

"Before qualifying yesterday (where he wrecked), Bubba Wallace talked about not having time to work with the replacement pit crew members on his (he has two crew members suspended for a wheel coming off last week) and handling the ups and downs of this season," Bob Pockrass shared.

Wallace understands how difficult it is.

"It's unfortunate for our 23 group, but these guys have been practicing...," he said.

"It sucks."

It's been an up-and-down year for Wallace so far, but he's hoping to get on the right track heading into the back half of the season.

It's going to be a difficult time this weekend, though, after crashing out in qualifying and facing multiple suspensions to his crew.
