Bubba Wallace reveals advice he gave Rajah Caruth at Daytona

One of the big stories from last week’s NASCAR Truck Series race, what was Bubba Wallace saying to Rajah Caruth on pit road? After the Fresh From Florida 250, the two seemed to have a little bit of a disagreement about what went down on the track.

Rajah Caruth was racing for a win, he got a little too eager and tried to take a hole that wasn’t there.

On pit road, instead of dapping up Caruth, Bubba Wallace grabbed him by the arms and tried to talk to him about what happened. Now, Wallace has shed some light on the situation.

“Yeah he said he got tight,” Wallace said, via Bob Pockrass of FOX Sports. “He’s the only one who knows what happened, but it was not the stuff he told me standing on pit road. We finally got that cleared up. But just excited, I think I talked to him before the race and I told him, ‘You gotta be patient. Don’t take any unnecessary risks to start, make sure you’re there for the end. So you can learn, you go through all this training, all this data stuff to look at.'”

“It doesn’t mean a damn if you don’t complete ten laps. Gotta complete all of them and learn to put that data to use. I thought he did great, thought he did great up to that point. Wasn’t really in the mix, now he’s gotta figure out how to be in the mix but not be in the chaos and that’s hard. Then, he just got excited a corner too early so, but hey he was going for it. Just told him if that happened again, the next day, what would you do different? Make him start thinking about it.”
