Losing spots on pit road is never fun. At a track like Kansas Speedway, it doesn't mean that much if you have a fast car. Carson Hocevar must feel great about his car, because he isn't sweating the rough pit stop in Stage 2.
Hocevar has been running up front more and more often in the NASCARCup Series. He's not going to get worked up over the little things, as evidenced by his response to losing multiple spots on pit road in Stage 2 at Kansas.
"We're away better than all these guys so I appreciate the opportunity to pass them again and flip them off. It's positive," Hocevar said on the radio, via Richard Allen of Motorsports Report.
Carson Hocevar is fighting to get back into the top-10 in this Kansas race. These high speed tracks that have multiple grooves are usually some of the best for Hocevar. If he can find a rhythm again and his team avoids more issues on pit road, then he might have a chance to grab another great finish.
In the last few years, Spire Motorsports has been investing in the organization. They are part of the TWG Motorsports family which includes Andretti Global and the F1 Cadillac Team. The pressure to perform and win races is only getting more intense.
Many fans have been drawn in by Hocevar because of the easy going nature he has. He's never holding back or trying to be something he's not. Even on the radio, he keep sit real. Now, can he get through traffic and get another great finish?
