Chase Elliott autographs a baby at Hendrick Motorsports event
Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

Chase Elliott’s weekend is getting off to a hot start on Friday, as he’s already autographed his first baby in the Charlotte area.

Elliott’s been asked to autograph some interesting things throughout his career, but this one may take the cake. At a Hendrick Motorsports event on Friday, Elliott was asked to autograph a baby, and he happily obliged to doing so.

Check out the video below, where Elliott makes the unique signing. It’s only the baby’s shirt, but it’s still a hilarious visual that you can only find in NASCAR.

Now, the floodgates are open for Elliott. We don’t know if that’s the first baby he’s autographed, but now it certainly won’t be the last. If any young ones are at the Coca-Cola 600, their parents will be purchasing a Sharpie for when they come across the former NASCAR Cup Series champion.

Regardless of how many babies he signs, the Coca-Cola 600 is shaping up to be a promising event for Chase Elliott. Some, like Kevin Harvick, believe he’s going to win the race. We’ll see if he makes good on that prediction in Charlotte on Sunday evening.

Kevin Harvick predicts winner of Coca-Cola 600 this weekend in Charlotte

Every week Kevin Harvick picks his favorites for the NASCAR Cup Series. This week the series heads to Charlotte for the Coca-Cola 600. He got a taste of the Next Gen car again last week at North Wilkesboro so Harvick could be refreshed this week.

The Coca-Cola 600 is a big deal. Memorial Day Weekend is the best weekend in all of motorsports. Indy 500, Monaco, Coke 600 – it’s a perfect day of racing. Harvick is looking forward to the NASCAR action, though. And (hopefully) seeing Kyle Larson do the Double. However, he’s riding with Chase Elliott.

“I’m going to pick Chase Elliott this week,” Harvick said. “I’m picking Chase Elliott this week, he’s great at Charlotte. He’s had quietly had good finishes throughout the year. Won at Texas.

“But I just think this is his style race, right? Game of attrition, not making mistakes, these guys, he doesn’t make mistakes on pit road. They’re just, they’re solid and I think this is his style of race. So, I’m going with the 9.”

Alas, Chase Elliott has won the Coke 600 in the past. During that 2020 championship season he claimed the Crown Jewel race for himself.

In the last two years, things have not gone well for Elliott. Back-to-back DNF finishes of P33 and P34. You have to go back to the 2021 season to find the last time he finished this race.
