For the fourth year in a row, Christopher Bell has advanced to the penultimate round of the NASCAR Cup Series playoffs.
Bell entered Sunday's Bank of America Roval 400 at Charlotte Motor Speedway 44 points above the cut line. After finishing seventh in Stage 2, Bell officially had enough points to clinch a Round of 8 berth.
Bell won three of the first four races of the 2025 season and added a fourth victory at Bristol Motor Speedway on Sept. 13. Bell went to the Championship 4 in 2022 and 2023 before falling just shy of the championship race a year ago.
Bell is the fourth driver to clinch a Round of 8 berth and the second to clinch on points during Sunday's race. Ryan Blaney and Chase Elliott won at New Hampshire and Kansas, respectively, to earn their spots, while a second-place finish in Stage 1 guaranteed Kyle Larson a Round of 8 berth.

Bell is looking for his first Cup Series title this season. In five seasons with Joe Gibbs Racing, Bell has made the playoffs in all five seasons.
Round of 8 races at Las Vegas and Martinsville offer Bell excellent chances to win his way into the Championship 4 for the third time in his career.
