Christopher Bell paces NASCAR Cup Series practice at Iowa Speedway

Christopher Bell was the fastest man in Iowa on Saturday afternoon. 

Bell topped the speed charts in NASCAR Cup Series practice at Iowa Speedway with a fastest-lap of 23.511 seconds as he looks for his fourth win of the 2025 season. 

Brickyard 400 winner Bubba Wallace, Chase Briscoe, Daytona 500 champion William Byron and Kyle Larson rounded out the top five, with Tyler Reddick, Alex Bowman, Brad Keselowski, Chase Elliott and Denny Hamlin completing the top 10. 

Other notable practice results include Ty Gibbs in 14th, defending Iowa winner Ryan Blaney in 15th, Ross Chastain in 18th, Ryan Preece in 29th and Joey Logano in 36th. 

Kyle Busch was 17th-fastest in practice but will have to start at the rear of the field in a back-up car after suffering a hard crash in practice. Reddick, Larson and Hamlin also suffered from a loose condition throughout the session, though only Hamlin made contact with the outside wall. 

Joey Gase was the slowest driver in practice, coming in 37th-fastest. 

Cup Series qualifying is next on truTV. The Iowa Corn 350 will go green shortly after 3:30 p.m. ET on Sunday, with coverage on USA Network, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio. Pre-race coverage will begin at 2:30 p.m. ET on MRN and at 3 p.m. ET on USA Network.
