Corey Heim gets redemption, wins NASCAR Truck Series race at Charlotte

A week after he spun out on the final lap while racing for the win at North Wilkesboro, Corey Heim got redemption and put together a perfect race at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Heim led 98 of 134 laps and swept the stages in the North Carolina Education Lottery 200, scoring his fourth win of the 2025 season and his 15th career win in his 75th start. Heim, 22, is the youngest driver to reach the 15-win mark in the Truck Series and tied three-time Truck Series champion Matt Crafton for 10th on the all-time wins list.

Heim beat Ross Chastain to the line by 6.229 seconds, the largest margin of victory ever in a Truck Series race at Charlotte.

"Honestly, it's nice to be far enough ahead where someone can't clear me out," Heim told Fox Sports. "This (truck) was obviously really good... Pumped up about this one, I feel like we gave a couple away over the last couple weeks."

Heim drove away from the field in Stage 3 and navigated through a green-flag pit cycle to pick up the victory.

Chastain, Kaden Honeycutt, Layne Riggs and Kyle Busch rounded out the top five, with Grant Enfinger, Matt Mills, Daniel Hemric, Rajah Caruth and Brandon Jones completing the top 10.

"The No. 11, Corey and (crew chief Scott Zippadelli) are the best in the field right now," Chastain said.

Other notable finishes include Stewart Friesen in 13th, BJ McLeod in 15th, polesitter Gio Ruggiero in 21st, Toni Breidinger in 30th and defending series champion Ty Majeski in 32nd. Chandler Smith was involved in a crash early in Stage 3 and finished last in 34th place.

The 12th race of the 2025 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season will take place at Nashville Superspeedway on May 30. The Rackley Roofing 200 will go green shortly after 8 p.m. ET, with coverage on FS1, NRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
