Jeffrey Earnhardt will continue to compete part-time for Sam Hunt Racing in 2025.

The grandson of NASCAR legend Dale Earnhardt and son of former driver Kerry Earnhardt has gained popularity in select opportunities. He ran six Xfinity Series races and one Truck Series event last year.

On Monday, Sam Hunt Racing announced that the 35-year-old Earnhardt will race multiple times for the No. 24 team in 2025. His precise schedule remains to be determined, but Earnhardt will first race at Talladega Superspeedway under a sponsorship with ForeverLawn.

“I couldn't be more excited to continue our relationship with Jeffrey and the ForeverLawn family throughout 2025," SHR owner Sam Hunt said in a team release, via Frontstretch's Kevin Rutherford. "Jeffrey is the ultimate teammate and takes a lot of pride in the development of SHR, which means a ton to me. We also know he can deliver in our GR Supras, and will give him all the tools we can to be successful on the track. He has become like family to our staff, and everyone in the building wants to see him succeed."

Earnhardt captured his best performance of the 2024 season by placing eighth in Atlanta in February. He placed outside the top 20 in five other races with SHR's No. 26 car.

Another legacy driver will share the No. 24 vehicle with Earnhardt. Ryan Truex, the younger brother of former Cup Series champion Martin Truex Jr., will take the wheel for the Xfinity Series season opener at Daytona this Saturday.

Dean Thompson will also join SHR full-time to drive the No. 26 car.

"I'm very excited to join the Sam Hunt Racing group and continue to pursue my dreams in NASCAR," Thompson said in last month's announcement. "The team made me feel at home after the two races we shared last year. Everything clicked with us, and we are both in a spot where we could fulfill each other’s needs to help our growth as a race team and driver."

Earnhardt won't make his 2025 debut for SHR until the season's 11th race on Saturday, April 26.
