Denny Hamlin explains disconnection at virtual Talladega

Denny Hamlin coming in last place at NASCAR iRacing's virtual Talladega Superspeedway was definitely odd, but there's a reason for it.

Hamlin's seven-year-old daughter accidentally powered off his monitor, which caused him to be disconnected from the server and thus result in a last-place finish, according to NASCAR.com.

The 39-year-old later explained exactly what happened, and how he felt about the situation in a video posted to social media.

This isn't the first issue iRacing has experienced since beginning. Many racers have experienced lag, connectivity problems, or being disconnected to the race.

Looking on the bright side for Hamlin, he won the first iRacing event at virtual Homstead-Miami Speedway, so things haven't been all that bad.
