ROCKINGHAM, N.C. — Rajah Caruth delivered one of his strongest performances of the season at Rockingham Speedway, finishing fourth while showing late-race speed that suggested more was within reach.
Caruth said execution on restarts proved decisive. He noted the car improved in the closing laps but said he lost critical track position at key moments.
“That was on me,” Caruth said. “That’s probably what I needed to do better at the end of the race.”
Despite that, the result highlighted the potential of both driver and team. As the race progressed, the top lane emerged as the preferred groove, allowing Caruth to build momentum and move forward through the field.
He also capitalized on issues for several competitors late in the race, gaining positions in the closing stages.
Caruth emphasized the finish reflected more than circumstance.
“I’m super proud of the effort,” he said.
The result provides momentum as Caruth continues a split schedule. His primary focus remains the No. 88 entry with JR Motorsports, where he is expected to contend for a playoff spot later this season. He also will gain additional seat time in the No. 32 for Jordan Anderson Racing.
Caruth returns to action Saturday at Bristol Motor Speedway, carrying confidence from Rockingham and a focus on improving the details that could turn strong runs into victories.
