The car also mimics some of the other key factors of the Plymouth, such as chrome accents and white lettering; it is set to feature the “Petty 75” logo commemorating the family’s 75^th year in racing. Johnson, while talking about the paint scheme, pointed out that he had a meaningful relationship with Richard Petty, his son Kyle Petty, and the rest of the family. With the tribute, he wants to celebrate their legacy as well as commemorate his 21-year career that got him into the primer stock car racing Hall of Fame.

The honor of my recent NASCAR Hall of Fame induction has given me time to reflect on my racing career that spans more than 21 years, and on the people that have been pivotal to my journey both on and off the track. My relationship with Richard, Kyle and the whole Petty family is so meaningful to me and my goal was to celebrate their enduring LEGACY with this design. Johnson said.

The 2024 season will mark a new venture for Legacy MC, as they will take the first steps towards eventually becoming championship contenders. They see the Toyota move as the right step and now have to earn their place in the TRD garage with their performance this season.
