With Joey Logano leading the way, Team Penske put together a master class in NASCAR Cup Series qualifying at EchoPark Speedway on Friday.
Logano won the pole for Saturday's Quaker State 400, beating out Josh Berry for the top spot by virtue of being higher in the points standings after Logano and Berry ran the same lap time.
Berry, Ryan Blaney, Austin CIndric and Ryan Preece rounded out the top-five, with Brad Keselowski, Cole Custer, Zane Smith, Alex Bowman and Pocono winner Chase Briscoe completing the top-10. Ford swept the top-eight positions in qualifying.
Other notable qualifying results include Kyle Larson in 11th, Chase Elliott in 15th, two-time Atlanta winner and Daytona 500 champion William Byron in 18th, Tyler Reddick in 23rd and Bubba Wallace in 24th.
Three-time Daytona 500 winner Denny Hamlin — who is the No. 1 seed in NASCAR's In-Season Challenge — qualified 33rd. His matchup, Ty Dillon, will start 14th. February Atlanta winner Christopher Bell will start 28th.
The Quaker State 400 will go green shortly after 7 p.m. ET on Saturday, with coverage on TNT, Max, PRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio. Logano is the defending winner.
