Josh Berry gets sent spinning on pit road by ‘dips**t’ John Hunter Nemechek

Things are getting heated in the Daytona 500 during Stage 2 green flag pit stops. Josh Berry was sent spinning by John Hunter Nemechek. The two NASCAR drivers made contact on pit road and the No. 4 team was not happy.

John Hunter Nemechek was involved in the early wreck in Stage 1 when he was pushed by Brad Keselowski. While that wasn’t his fault, this issue on pit road is more than likely his fault.

Nemechek was on the inside of Josh Berry, where he should not have been on pit road and when Berry came to pit, he went around. Unfortunate for Berry who had led laps in this race. His teammates Ryan Preece and Noah Gragson have also led in the 500 today.

After the incident, on the No. 4 radio, someone said “That 42 [Nemechek] is a dips**t, like always.” A little spicy on the SHR radio.

Josh Berry’s crew is not going to do any favors for the 42 and his team now. When it comes time to push or give a break to another driver, Nemechek will have to hope that he isn’t next to the No. 4 car, or he’s getting left in the middle.

After that wild first wreck, everything calmed down. Drivers have been careful, saving fuel, and waiting their time to unleash the full speed of these cars. As we get to the end of the race here, it’s going to be interesting to see who ends up working with one another and who leaves each other in the wind.

Josh Berry and SHR have shown speed early

Overall, I am very impressed with the Stewart-Haas Racing group. Ryan Preece was hit with a penalty for entering pit road too fast. However, he led laps and showed a lot fo speed. Really, Chase Briscoe is the only SHR driver who hasn’t really shown up, so to speak.

There is still time, of course. Based on his teammates’ speed, both Berry, Preece, and Gragson, I think there is a chance we see a Stewart-Haas push to the front. However, it won’t be easy. The Team Penske and Front Row Motorsports Fords are also wicked fast today.

Of course, you can’t count out the Toyotas, either. Josh Berry and his crew will have to work their way back up in the field, and it’s going to be easier said than done. 23XI Racing and Joe Gibbs Racing have shown a bit of speed, mainly Bubba Wallace. Tyler Reddick is close by to help his teammate, though.

The end of this race is coming up and we are going to have a shootout to the finish. It feels like this Monday night race is going to be a classic Daytona 500.
