Josh Berry pulls up a seat, reacts to Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Carson Hocevar confrontation

Sparks flew after the NASCAR Cup Series race in Mexico City, as Ricky Stenhouse Jr. confronted Carson Hocevar. Josh Berry didn’t want to miss a second of the action.

Once the cars were parked, Stenhouse went to Hocevar’s car and began yelling at him. The former Daytona 500 champion told the young wheelman he was “going to beat his ass once (they) got back in the States,” as Stenhouse didn’t like how Hocevar raced him once again on Sunday.

Just in case things escalated, Berry wanted to see all of the drama. Check out the video of the incident below, shared to X by Jordan Bianchi of The Athletic, as you can see Berry snag a prime spot to watch in the background.

Fans had a good laugh at Berry wanting to see what was going on. Berry took to social media afterwards to deliver the perfect response as well: “Not gonna miss anything,” he quipped.

Berry knew trouble was brewing when these two drivers linked up after the race. This wasn’t the first time for Stenhouse and Hocevar, as they had a run-in earlier this year at Nashville. Hocevar bumped Stenhouse, spinning Stenhouse’s No. 47 Chevrolet into the wall, and ended his day early. After the race, both drivers said they talked it out and the conversation was “productive.”

“I felt like we had good conversations,” Stenhouse said, per NASCAR.com. “I let him know how I felt about it. He kind of walked through the scenario of what he was thinking during that situation and how he basically wishes he could have changed that. So, yeah, I thought it was productive.”

“Me and him both have the reputation, I guess, of both being aggressive at times,” Hocevar said. “So at one point, we both reminded each other that even with those reputations, obviously we’ve raced each other very well together. We’ve had no issues before, as he had said, and feel like we’ve had a decent relationship leading up to this, so I thought it was productive. And based off his comments, I felt like it was received (well).”

All told, nobody will blame Josh Berry for wanting to see what transpired between Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Carson Hocevar. Time will tell if this rivalry continues back in the United States, with the Cup Series heading to Pocono this coming weekend. Whatever happens, the No. 21 Ford wheelman will be looking for a front-row seat.
