Justin Allgaier paces NASCAR Xfinity Series practice at Pocono

LONG POND, Pennsylvania — Defending Xfinity Series champion Justin Allgaier led the way in NASCAR Xfinity Series practice at Pocono Raceway on Saturday.

Allgaier's fastest-lap of 55.138 seconds topped the speed charts at the "Tricky Triangle" as Allgaier looks for his fourth win of the season.

Brandon Jones, Connor Zilisch, William Sawalich and Harrison Burton rounded out the top-five, with Chase Elliott, Taylor Gray, Ryan Sieg, Sammy Smith and Nick Sanchez completing the top-10.

The session was also Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s first as a NASCAR crew chief as the NASCAR Hall of Famer is directing Connor Zilisch after Mardy Lindley's suspension that stemmed from a penalty at Nashville.

Other notable practice results include Jesse Love in 12th, Sam Mayer in 13th, Carson Kvapil in 16th, Austin Hill in 18th and Dean Thompson in 24th.

Xfinity Series qualifying is next on the CW App. The Explore The Pocono Mountains 250 will go green shortly after 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, with coverage on the CW, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio. Pre-race coverage will begin at 3 p.m. ET on MRN and the CW.
