Justin Allgaier wins pole for NASCAR O'Reilly Series race at Texas

The NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series points leader will be the man leading the field to the green flag for Saturday's Andy's Frozen Custard 300. 

With a lap of 28.631 seconds around the 1.5-mile Texas Motor Speedway on Friday afternoon, 2024 series champ and current points leader Justin Allgaier won the pole for Saturday's race. It's the 13th pole of his O'Reilly Series career and his first of 2026. 

Allgaier will be joined on the front row by Joe Gibbs Racing driver Brandon Jones, with defending race winner Kyle Larson, Connor Zilisch and Brent Crews rounding out the top five. Talladega winner Corey Day, Austin Hill, Jeremy Clements, Ryan Sieg and Parker Retzlaff completed the top 10. 

Other notable starters for NOAPS race at Texas

Other notable qualifying efforts include Sheldon Creed, who is second in the series standings, in 11th, Taylor Gray in 12th, Rajah Caruth in 13th, Austin Dillon in 20th and defending series champion Jesse Love in 21st. 

Joey Gase was the slowest of the 36 drivers to take time with a lap of 30.431 seconds. Neither Lavar Scott or Ryan Ellis made a qualifying lap and will start 37th and 38th (last), respectively. 

The Andy's Frozen Custard 340 will go green shortly after 3:30 p.m. ET Saturday, with coverage on the CW, PRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio. Pre-race coverage will begin at 3 p.m. ET on the CW and PRN.
