All eyes in the world of racing will be on Kyle Larson this weekend as he attempts to pull off one of the toughest feats in all of sports. Larson will compete in the Indianapolis 500 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway and the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway this Sunday, aka Double Duty.
Since the Indy 500 was moved to the Sunday before Memorial Day in 1974, making it the same day as NASCAR's annual 600-mile race, only five drivers — John Andretti, Tony Stewart, Robby Gordon and Kurt Busch — have even attempted to compete in both races on the same day. Only Stewart has actually finished all 600 laps and 1,100 miles.
Larson enters the Indy 500 as the third choice to win outright with +650 odds behind Josef Newgarden (+550) and Scott McLaughlin (+450). Larson is also the favorite to win the Coca-Cola 600 at +450. Of course, sportsbooks have even more ways for bettors to wager on whether Larson will make history Sunday.

Larson is +3500 to win both the Indy 500 and the Coca-Cola 600 at FanDuel, which is the second-most popular cross-race prop for Larson by bet ticket and handle. Larson to finish in top-three in both races at +600 is the most popular cross-race prop. Larson als0 has +210 odds to win either of the two races.
According to FanDuel, Larson has the largest share of betting tickets (13%) and handle (16%) to win the Indy 500 as of Thursday. However, Larson trails Ryan Blaney, William Byron, Chris Buescher and Martin Truex Jr. in handle to win the Coca-Cola 600.
BetMGM is also offering cross-race specials for Sunday's race. At BetMGM, Larson has +5000 to win both races, +525 odds to finish top three in both races, +220 to finish top five and -190 odds to finish top 10. Larson winning the Indy 500 could be costly for BetMGM, according to one of its representatives.
"Larson was taking bets from the beginning," BetMGM senior trader Michael Ranftle said. "We saw a flood of bets at 20-1 after the open testing in April. We held an attractive price for a while, but the market kept going his way through qualifying. We will likely lose on the race if he wins."
