LONG POND, Pennsylvania — For the first time in his NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series career, Layne Riggs will lead the field to the green flag.
With a lap of 53.126 seconds, Riggs did enough to earn the pole position for Friday's MillerTech Battery 200, edging Kaden Honeycutt for the top spot.
Riggs is still searching for his first win of the 2025 season. Through 13 races, he sits eighth in the standings, 35 points above the playoff cut line with five races remaining in the regular season.
Honeycutt, defending Pocono winner Corey Heim, Carson Hocevar and Tanner Gray rounded out the top five, with Gio Ruggiero, Andres Perez, Rajah Caruth, Brandon Jones and Patrick Emerling completing the top 10.
Other notable qualifying results include Connor Mosack in 12th, Michigan winner Stewart Friesen in 13th, Grant Enfinger in 14th, Daniel Hemric in 19th and Frankie Muniz in 27th. Riggs' Front Row Motorsports teammate, Chandler Smith, qualified 13th.
Neither Dawson Sutton nor two-time Truck Series champion Ben Rhodes made a lap in qualifying. Sutton and Rhodes will start 34th and 35th, respectively.
The MillerTech Battery 200 will go green shortly after 5 p.m. ET, with coverage on FS1, NRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
