Michael Jordan has diversified his portfolio quite a bit since he retired from the NBA, and while he's best known for his Air Jordan brand with Nike and his ownership of the Charlotte Hornets, MJ is involved with a lot more stuff. One of his investments is in NASCAR, where he co-owns the 23XI Racing Team along with Denny Hamlin.

As a team owner, Jordan is spotted at the races quite often and he was again around when the Daytona Xfinity Series race took place on Saturday. The race was a tight one but there was a serious accident during the final lap as Myatt Snider's car went nose-first into the wall before being hit by another car and flipping in the air before catching fire and almost getting ripped to shreds.

While the driver was okay and was able to walk away from the wreck under his power with minor injuries, the situation unfolded right in front of where Michael Jordan's camp was. His co-owner Denny Hamlin later revealed Jordan's reaction to the crash considering his proximity to the horrible scene as it unfolded.

“You can see Michael right there. Him and his whole crew,” Denny Hamlin stated as the broadcast showed images of the hole in the fencing.

“They said, ‘They’ve got debris, in their area.’ It’s crazy. He’s been here since Thursday. Big race fan, he loves watching these races.

“He said, ‘The sound and the wreck itself, was just crazy when it came into his area there'."

Motor racing is a highly dangerous sport considering that these cars can go up to nearly 200 miles per hour, so the key takeaway from this situation is obviously to be thankful that no one was seriously injured in the crash. While Michael Jordan has usually been quite unfazed when faced with difficult situations throughout his life, this kind of issue is capable of messing with just about anyone's head.
