NASCAR Announces Big TV Ratings For Sunday's Vegas Race

NASCAR has scored some huge ratings numbers to start the 2025 season and the sport carried that momentum into this past weekend's Cup Series battle in Sin City as well.

Josh Berry was able to walk away with his first career win in Sunday's Pennzoil 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway and a ton of people reportedly tuned in to see it.

According to FOX Sports, the race scored a 1.48 rating with over 3,000,000 viewers — the best numbers NASCAR has seen on FS1 in more than four years since the spring race at Darlington.

Additionally, the race's viewership was up +26 from last year's average of 2.39 million fans who tuned in and it peaked at 3,380,000 from 6:45 PM ET to 7 PM ET. And the Pennzoil 400 was also the network's most-watched telecast since Game 6 of last year's NLCS between the Mets and Dodgers.

Berry fought it out with Daniel Suárez over the race's final 20 laps which were some of the most intense we've seen over the course of NASCAR's first month.

"Oh, man, I don't even know what to think," Berry said after claiming his first victory. "Just awesome. I love this track. Las Vegas has been so good to me. So many great moments here."

"Just struggled in the Next Gen car here. But [crew chief] Miles [Stanley] and this whole 21 team, everybody at Wood Brothers Racing, they gave me a great car today. Just battled and battled and battled. Man, it was our day. I just can't believe it."

"Such a battle with Daniel there at the end, beating and banging on a mile-and-a-half — crazy! Whoever was going to get out front was probably going to win," he admitted. "We were able to get in front."

Berry will try to follow that up with another strong performance at the Straight Talk Wireless 400 when the Cup Series makes the trip to Homestead-Miami Speedway five days from now.
