With a capacity of 17,000, the NASCAR Clash at Bowman Gray Stadium is already sold out 69 days before the green flag drops. The Madhouse is going to be packed with the rowdiest, wildest, stock car racing fans North Carolina has to offer.
Bowman Gray Stadium has earned a reputation for fights and wrecks and other shenanigans. Could the quarter-mile race track produce the same fire in the Cup Series drivers?
While this is not the biggest stadium, NASCAR will put on one heck of a show at Bowman Gray. Already new lights, SAFER barriers, and other additions are being installed.

This year, Bowman Gray made NASCAR history. Not only was it named as the venue for the 2025 Clash, but a former undecided race was finally decided upon.
Bobby Allison was rewarded with his 85th Cup Series win. His 1971 win from a Bowman Gray race that featured Grand American and Grand National cars was finally awarded to him in the record books. Allison is now alone as fourth all-time in wins.
For many drivers in NASCAR, Bowman Gray Stadium has played a role in their development. Tracks like Bowman, Hickory, Millbridge, and more act as proving grounds for those in North Carolina.
In the last few years, NASCAR has put a huge emphasis on grassroots. Partnering with FloRacing for streams, the CARS Tour, NASCAR Weekly Series, reviving North Wilkesboro, returning to Rockingham with Xfinity and Truck Series, and now – Bowman Gray.
Yes, NASCAR has gone to other, non-traditional venues recently. They are taking a Richmond date away to race in Mexico City. But with dates at Bowman Gray, Wilkesboro, Rockingham, and even Limerock, there is a lot for the North Carolina and Atlantic Coast fans who have supported this sport for generations.
The grassroots keeps the sport alive. Dale Earnhardt Jr. is doing a ton to keep the lower series alive. With events like the Clash at Bowman Gray, it is only giving back more. I mean, new lights and safer walls around the track is great.
So, if you are looking to get into the Clash, good luck. Those tickets are sold out and will only be available on the secondary market. When the end of January rolls around, it could be a hard and expensive ticket to get.
