Kaden Honeycutt’s consistent performance this season in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series earned him a full-time opportunity with Niece Motorsports in 2025.
On Tuesday, the team announced a one-year deal for Honeycutt, who will drive the No. 45 Chevrolet Silverado next season.

Honeycutt, a 21-year-old from Willow Park, Texas, has raced consistently in his 10 Truck Series starts for Niece Motorsports this season, finishing inside the top 10 five times and only finishing worse than 14th twice.
After starting his season with a sixth-place finish at Atlanta, Honeycutt finished 12th at Bristol and ninth at Martinsville. His most impressive race of the season came at Kansas on May 3, when he finished fourth, led a lap and consistently ran inside the top five all race.
In the Truck Series return to Kansas on Friday, Honeycutt finished fourth, his first top 10 since a seventh-place effort at Charlotte on May 24.
Honeycutt isn’t the flashiest prospect making his way up the NASCAR ladder. His late-model background doesn’t necessarily differentiate him from many of his peers, and he isn’t a driver who is plastered all over advertisements or social media posts.
However, Honeycutt has paid his dues and climbed the ladder in the series naturally. Unlike many drivers in the developmental series of NASCAR, he won’t be relying on sponsorship deals or a family fortune to further his career.
At his core, Honeycutt is a blue-collar racer whose talent has taken him to the big stage. With a full-time opportunity ahead of him, he can continue to shine.
