NASCAR officials inspecting IMS after Kyle Larson, drivers complain that ‘track is coming apart’ in Turn 2

So, this track just got more intense and challenging. I’m not sure if NASCAR or Indianapolis Motor Speedway are going to be able to fix the bumps and problem areas on the track. There is an Xfinity Series race in just a couple of hours and then the Cup Series on Sunday.

Multiple drivers have hit the wall exiting Turn 2 today in practice and qualifying. Both Michael McDowell, John Hunter Nemechek, and Kyle Busch got into the wall coming out of the turn. It’s been an interesting wrinkle today. With almost 40 cars on the track on Sunday, will it cause even more problems?

Kyle Larson was here earlier this season for the Indy 500. He is doing another double of sorts this weekend, as he takes on both the Xfinity and Cup Series races. Not a bad way to shake those demons from Memorial Day Weekend.

Kyle Larson will be one of the last to go in qulaifying

Good news for Kyle Larson, he is going to be one of the last drivers in qualifying today at Indianapolis. He will see exactly what he has to do in order to take the pole for Sunday’s race. Adding another Brickyard 400 to his name would put Larson in rare air, too.

With his knowledge of the track and knowing Turn 2 is a danger zone, will Larson be able to take the pole for the Brickyard 400? He is always pushing for more speed, more time, and taking risks each time he’s on the track.

Indianapolis is a place where you can lose a lot more time than you can gain. One mistake and you wind up dropping multiple spots and starting nowhere near where you imagined you would start.
