Sunday’s AdventHealth 400 at Kansas Speedway drew 2.319 million viewers on FS1, FOX Sports announced Tuesday. That’s up 1% from last year’s spring race at Kansas, which attracted 2.296 million viewers.
Viewership peaked at 6:00-6:15 p.m. ET, with 2.916 million locked into the finish. The 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season continues to be a success on FS1, as overall viewership is up 6% from last year.
Sunday’s race was the Kyle Larson show. Larson won in dominant fashion, leading 221-of-267 laps after starting on the pole. Those 221 laps out front set a NASCAR record for most laps led in a Cup race at Kansas.
He led every stage, scoring max points to notch his third victory of the season. Larson did have a few drivers who challenged him, mainly Christopher Bell, Chase Elliott and Brad Keselowski. But nobody was as fast and as good as Larson.
With the win, Larson has overtaken Christopher Bell atop the playoff standings. Larson now has 23 playoff points to Bell’s 16.
“I was trying really hard to pace myself because I believe that was our longest run of the day. I’d been struggling a little bit at the end of the runs,” Larson said after the race. “Chase was really good, so I just felt like I needed to try to be better on my end. I don’t know if it was paying off or not at the end. I was still struggling. I don’t know if the right front was starting to wear a lot or what, but I was starting to lose a lot of grip and then I was vibrating really bad, so I was afraid a right rear or something would let go.
“But yeah, great car, great execution today, too, for our team. … Glad to not win by an inch right here this time and a little bit safer gap. But thanks again to the team.”
Larson is hitting his stride just in time for the All-Star Race at North Wilkesboro Speedway this coming Sunday. The following week, he attempts the Indy-Charlotte Double for the second consecutive year. Hopefully, Mother Nature cooperates this time and Larson can have a shot at completing the full 1,100 miles on Memorial Day weekend.
