NASCAR reveals track layout for San Diego street race at Naval Base Coronado

On Tuesday, NASCAR revealed the course for the 2026 San Diego street race at Naval Base Coronado. The track will feature 16 turns and be 3.4 miles long, the longest venue of any on the 2026 NASCAR schedule.

The race weekend, which will feature the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, NASCAR Xfinity Series and NASCAR Cup Series, will take place from June 19-21, 2026.

San Diego street race features unique layout

The course will include several features unique to the naval base setting. That includes turn 5 (nicknamed "Carrier Corner"), a left-hand turn in between the docking area of two aircraft carriers, and turn 14 (nicknamed "Runway Road"), located on a runway near the end of Halsey Field.

The race weekend will correlate with a celebration of the 250th anniversary of the United States Navy. The June 19 Truck Series race will only be open to members of the United States Navy, while the track will be open to the public on June 20 and June 21.

The race marks NASCAR's first trip to the San Diego market and the second street race venue in the sport's history. NASCAR previously raced on the streets of Chicago from 2023 to 2025.
