NASCAR will be making its bi-annual return to Las Vegas Motor Speedway in under two weeks, and as always, it will be a great spectacle in Sin City. The Cup Series generally shows up at the track with a hauler parade, and that week, they will do it in a big way. This will have the haulers travel through the strip, ultimately arriving at the speedway.
Fan engagement has always been a top-selling point for NASCAR. No other sport gives fans the exposure that they will get with NASCAR. This is noted by most fans making their first-ever appearance at a NASCAR event. The series kicks off its Las Vegas weekend with a hauler parade down one of the world's most famous streets.
NASCAR announced that, once again, the hauler parade will travel through the famous Las Vegas Strip. The hauler parade is that of each team's car hauler taking their semitruck down the strip, putting on a fun little spectacle for fans alike. These haulers carry the stock car and other equipment and serve as the teams' home base during race week.
The parade is set to begin at 4:30 PM local time on Friday, March 13. They will begin down by the Luxor Hotel & Casino as they make their way north. The parade will continue through downtown and ultimately arrive at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, about 18 miles northwest of the Strip.
For those fans on scene, the haulers will stage earlier on Friday at the South Point Hotel Casino & Spa, a couple of miles south of the strip. The entire parade will be police-escorted, and once they arrive at the track, the haulers will enter the tunnel at turns one and two, thus kicking off the weekend.
The Pennzoil 400 presented by Jiffy Lube will mark NASCAR's 5th Cup Race of the season. It is a biannual stop with one spring race and one fall race, generally part of the playoffs.
