NASCAR sponsor Suburban Propane is becoming a ‘hero’ for race fans
Alex Gould/The Republic / USA TODAY NETWORK

Suburban Propane became an official sponsor of NASCAR before the start of the 2025 season and is making a huge impact during race weekends. On3 recently visited EchoPark Speedway in Atlanta before the Quaker State 400 to see the exact impact the propane distributor is making. As fans were getting ready for the race weekend, Suburban Propane was making sure their experience was as smooth as possible.

Suburban Propane had an on-site fueling station for those who needed to refill their propane tanks. It also had a truck that would go to the different areas of the track and provide propane refills for fans who needed them.

But Suburban Propane does more than refill propane tanks for fans at races. The company provides energy for in-stadium food services, so fans will never miss any of the action. And if a race is dealing with rainy weather, Suburban Popane has track dryers that are used to keep the race going. At EchoPark Speedway, Suburban Propane had four track dryers, which were likely used since it rained during the races on Friday and Saturday.

“Our partnerships with NASCAR and Speedway Motorsports underscore the incredible versatility and reliability of propane,” said Nandini Sankara, Vice President of Marketing & Brand Strategy and Spokesperson for Suburban Propane. “From drying the track to heating garages, powering concessions, and fueling RVs, propane plays a critical role in keeping events running smoothly, regardless of the weather. It’s a behind-the-scenes hero that supports every facet of the fan experience, and we’re proud to help fuel the energy and excitement that make race weekends unforgettable.”

“Propane is an integral part of our operations, and our partnership with Suburban Propane helps ensure everything runs seamlessly behind the scenes,” said Steve Swift, senior vice president of Operations and Development at Speedway Motorsports. “From a facility standpoint, it gives us the flexibility and reliability we need to meet the demands of race weekends, whether it’s maintaining comfort in the garages or supporting essential infrastructure. It’s a fuel that allows us to focus on delivering an exceptional experience for fans and teams alike.”

Suburban Propane has been in business since 1928 and serves the energy needs of one million residential, commercial, governmental, industrial and agricultural customers through 700 locations across 42 states. Along with being the official propane of NASCAR, Suburban Propane is the official propane of Darlington Raceway, Daytona International Speedway, Homestead-Miami Speedway, Martinsville Speedway, Phoenix Raceway, Richmond Raceway, Talladega Superspeedway and Watkins Glen International, meaning fans will be seeing more of the company throughout the season.

NASCAR is the top motorsports organization in the country and continues to grow. The partnership with Suburban Propane is off to a strong start and will only get better as fans continue to appreciate what the company does to help racing events be more enjoyable.
