NASCAR Cup Series driver Denny Hamlin wasn't happy with what he saw from FOX's broadcast on Sunday.

Fans of NASCAR were annoyed with FOX's "embarrassing" broadcast on Sunday. The network was called out for missing several big moments during Sunday's Cup Series race. NASCAR fans quickly took to social media to complain.

"Fox doing this on purpose, then gunna go and provide the best coverage possible on the INDYCAR side of things," one fan wrote.

"We have missed half the incidents this year because of their coverage! Can’t wait for Prime," one fan added.

Hamlin is siding with NASCAR fans.

Hamlin, one of the most accomplished - and most outspoken - drivers in recent NASCAR history, is speaking out on behalf of fans.

The Cup Series driver is demanding that FOX and NASCAR do better. He thinks they need to own up to the mistakes, too.

Hamlin calls for public statement from NASCAR, FOX

Hamlin wants NASCAR and FOX to speak out.

“I mean they didn’t follow a few wrecks that happened, that’s for sure,” Hamlin said on Actions Detrimental. “But NASCAR has to get better with that. Like I’ve seen their control center at their production studio. There’s absolutely no excuse… you have cameras pointing in every direction of this racetrack.

“For you not to see Cody Ware destroyed in that final corner… holy cow, man. They need to say something about that. Not just, ‘We’ll look at it. We’re always looking to improve.'”

Hamlin thinks it's unacceptable.

“Take some accountability on this one,” Hamlin said. “This was not acceptable.”

NASCAR fans have to hope that FOX will do a better job with their broadcasting coverage moving forward.
