Predicting the 2025 NASCAR Truck Series Championship 4

After a long offseason, the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series will begin its 2025 season at Daytona International Speedway on Feb. 14. 10 drivers will make the Truck Series playoffs, but only four will advance to the championship race at Phoenix. Here are our 2025 Truck Series Championship 4 predictions.

Corey Heim, No. 11 Toyota Tundra, TRICON Garage

If there's a lock for the Championship 4 in NASCAR's top three series this year, it's Heim. In a Truck Series field that looks relatively weak on paper, the 22-year-old from Marietta, Georgia, is far and away the championship favorite. Heim has won nine races over the last two seasons and is looking for his third consecutive Championship 4 appearance. It would be shocking if Heim — who is regarded as one of NASCAR's top prospects — fails to at least qualify for the Championship 4.

Daniel Hemric, No. 19 Chevrolet Silverado, McAnally-Hilgemann Racing

The 2021 Xfinity Series champion will run his first full-time Truck Series season since 2016 following a quiet 2024 Cup Series campaign. Hemric's latest Cup Series tenure may have been underwhelming, but he should be a weekly threat to win in the Truck Series this season. Not only is Hemric a NASCAR champion with Cup Series experience, but the No. 19 team has been one of the best in the Truck Series in recent years. 2025 Xfinity Series rookie Christian Eckes won eight races with the team over the past two seasons and made the Championship 4 in 2024. Eckes was Heim's main competition in 2024, and Hemric may be the most likely candidate to steal the 2025 championship away from Heim.

Ty Majeski, No. 98 Ford F-150, ThorSport Racing

Majeski enters 2025 as the defending Truck Series champion. He's been a model of consistency since getting a full-time Truck Series ride with ThorSport in 2022, and over the last three years, he's won six races and made the Championship 4 twice. The short-track ace shouldn't have too many problems getting back to Phoenix as he looks to defend his title.

Layne Riggs, No. 34 Ford F-150, Front Row Motorsports

As hard as it is to bet against Majeski's teammate in Ben Rhodes, Riggs seems like a slightly safer pick to make the Championship 4 this season. An incredibly unlucky start to 2024 doomed Riggs' rookie campaign, but he and Front Row came on strong at the end of the season. Over the last 10 races of 2024, Riggs compiled two wins, (Milwaukee and Bristol) five top-fives and seven top-10s. If he can avoid the bad luck that plagued him a year ago, he'll be inside the top five on a weekly basis.
