RFK Racing taps Ryan Preece to drive third Cup Series entry in 2025

Ryan Preece has found a new home in the NASCAR Cup Series.

On Tuesday, RFK Racing announced that it had signed Preece for the 2025 season, officially expanding the team's Cup Series program to three full-time entries. Preece will race alongside owner-driver Brad Keselowski and Chris Buescher. 2025 will mark the first time since 2015 that the organization will field three full-time Cup Series entries.

The signing gives Preece stability after his previous team, Stewart-Haas Racing, shut down at the conclusion of the 2024 season. Preece signed with SHR in 2023, and previously drove for JTG-Daugherty Racing in the Cup Series from 2019-21. 2025 will mark Preece's sixth full-time season in the Cup Series.

The signing also carries sponsorship from Kroger, which previously was a primary sponsor of Preece and the JTG-Daugherty team. Kroger will sponsor all three RFK cars going forward.

Preece's NASCAR accolades include 187 Cup Series starts, two NASCAR Xfinity Series wins, two NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series wins, 26 wins in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour and the 2013 NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour championship.

Preece is RFK's first driver signing since the Keselowski purchased an ownership stake in the organization prior to the 2022 season.
