A HUGE pileup in the NASCAR Truck Series race at Michigan has taken Ross Chastain out of contention and collected several cars. The leaders waited a little bit to launch in the restart zone, and everyone else got impatient, causing a massive stack-up.
Daniel Hemric, Corey Heim, Ross Chastain, Gio Ruggiero, Ty Majeski, and so many others were caught up in this wreck. Cautions breed cautions, and that is exactly what has happened at the end of this Truck Series race at Michigan.
The racing before this was fantastic. Now, we’re going to see who can survive to the end of the race and win this thing.

The wreck on Lap 122 completely changed the aspect of this race. Corey Heim, Jake Garcia, Tanner Gray, Gio Ruggiero, Daniel Hemric, Dawson Sutton, Frankie Muniz, Chandler Smith, Andrés Pérez, Connor Mosack, and Ben Rhodes were all officially involved.
On the subsequent restart, drivers started to hit the wall with flat tires. Others were worried about running out of fuel. This was a wild and hectic Truck Series race at the very end. While it was a bit chaotic and crazy, there’s part of each NASCAR fan that loves seeing these trucks muck it up and struggle to get to the finish.
It stinks for those teams that were so close to winning. However, the big crowd of fans in attendance to watch the show didn’t leave disappointed, I’ll tell you that much. This one ended in multiple overtimes.
Who saw this coming today when the green flag dropped?! 72 race winless streak OVER for Stewart Friesen! After everything that has gone wrong this season for the No. 52 team, they were finally given a break from the racing gods and are winners in the NASCAR Truck Series race at Michigan.
Have a damn day, Stewart Friesen. He wasn’t dominant, but he was there when he needed to be. First win since Texas in 2022. The Halmar-Friesen team has had to put up with a lot. Stewart wasn’t sure if he had a future in the sport anymore after so many mishaps and problems. Today makes it all worth it.
Locked into the playoffs, Friesen gets a big win. Canada, rejoice! In front of a huge Truck Series crowd, Friesen gets the job done after multiple overtimes. He led two laps all race, the final two.
This race was only supposed to be 125 laps. Multiple overtime finishes made it a 139-lap race. Drivers were running out of fuel, blowing tires, and finding it hard to keep themselves from wrecking late in this one.
Corey LaJoie, in his first Truck Series start of the season, finishes P5. He had the lead, and if this race hadn’t gone to multiple overtimes, he may have been able to win it. However, Grant Enfinger and Stewart Friesen had other ideas in the overtime finish. LaJoie should be happy with this result, he’s only the third driver in 2025 to get this No. 07 truck a top-five finish. Kyle Larson and William Byron are the other two.
