Ryan Blaney Fires Back After Denny Hamlin Accuses Him of Stealing Slogan

There’s no denying that Denny Hamlin and Ryan Blaney are considered two of the best drivers in the NASCAR Cup Series.

The Joe Gibbs Racing driver has an impressive resume with 56 career Cup wins, including three Daytona 500s. The Team Penske driver, who is 13 years younger, has recorded 13 victories, but more importantly, won the 2023 title.

On the track, each has a healthy respect for the others' skills while Hamlin has, on multiple occasions, called out the No. 12 pilot for his radio rants in the past.

Interestingly, this week the JGR driver again called out the Penske driver on X for something completely different.

It started when the X account of Nascarcasm wrote: “I was today years old when I learned that @KyleBusch and @Blaney actually have the same middle name. #NASCARFullSpeed #Netflix.”

The post was referencing the release of the Netflix docuseries “NASCAR: Full Speed” and the first episode when Blaney’s fiancee, Gianna Tulio, tells him — as she did the year before — to go out and be Ryan “[Expletive]” Blaney. For years, many of Busch’s fan base have affectionately referred to him as KFB.

The 23XI Racing co-owner attempted to correct the record in his response.

“They are both ripping off an old slogan that was around way before them..” Hamlin said, also having had the expletive affectionately used as his middle initial in the past.

“I thought it was FDH not DFH?” Blaney fired back and included a crying laughing emoji, the repositioning of the expletive initial making it a derisive remark instead of a complimentary one.

Blaney and Hamlin will battle against each other and the rest of the Cup competition on Sunday at Kansas. Coverage begins at 3 p.m. ET on FS1.
