Ryan Blaney livid after hard wreck during the Duels at Daytona

During the second of the two Duels at Daytona, Ryan Blaney was right rear hooked and sent into the trioval wall violently. His car went on to catch fire and the NASCAR champion was left fuming mad afterwards.

Getting hooked into the wall is one of the worst things that can happen to a driver. When you have it happen multiple times within less than a year, it makes it worse. At the very least, it makes it incredibly frustrating.

When Ryan Blaney was out of the Care Center, he was pi--ed. In fact, he said as much, multiple times.

“I can’t control it but it comes from awful pushes from people,” Blaney said to the media, via Matt Weaver of Sportsnaut. “Three times in a row awful pushes have led to me getting wrecked here. Guys not being smart, not knowing when to get off somebody. Like, you cannot push going into the corner that hard in the trioval. I don’t know when guys will get it. I hate being the expense of it and getting right reared from someone’s dumb push.”

Blaney also said they were “s----y pushes” while speaking with FS1 on TV.

For what it is worth, Ryan Blaney also dropped an F-Bomb on MRN saying, “I’m pretty f------ sick of it.”

The point is clear, the Team Penske driver and defending NASCAR champion is not happy with his Cup Series peers. He will go to a backup car and try to win his first Daytona 500 in the replacement.

Ryan Blaney loses out, Christopher Bell capitalizes

In the second race of the night, Ryan Blaney was the big loser and Christopher Bell was the big winner. Bell was able to deliver Toyota its second win in the Duels tonight. The manufacturer swept the races with Tyler Reddick claiming the first win of the night.

Denny Hamlin was right there with a chance to win the second race. Bell was able to get a push and make a move on Hamlin to get the win. It was a strong move and one that Hamlin almost successfully blocked.

When a big wreck happens like it did in this race, you don’t know who is going to come out of it on the other side. Bell was lucky enough to not get involved in the wreck and to have the speed to win after the restart. Bubba Wallace led early in the race and he was more or less relegated to the back after the wreck.

Ryan Blaney is going to be mad about this for a while. His team has two days to get a car put together and ready to compete for a win in the Daytona 500. Team Penske is going to have their work cut out for them if they want to see the 12 car up front on Sunday.
