NASCAR Truck Series driver Stewart Friesen’s wife, Jessica, gave another update on her husband, who is dealing with injuries from a crash he was involved in on Monday evening. In a statement, Jessica encouraged fans to visit the website Onezeetees.com to purchase a shirt or collectible to support the family.

“In respecting Stewart’s wishes, we would love for you to visit Onezeetees.com and purchase your favorite racing shirt or collectible,” Jessica said. “I know that Stewart would want you to have something in return for supporting our family in this time.”

Jessica added, “We will not be setting up a GoFundMe or any other sort of charity account. If you see one, please know that unless it comes from us, it is not official and not supporting Stewart’s care. Thanks again for the well wishes and prayers. They are the biggest blessing and encouragement we could have as we continue to move forward.”

Stewart Friesen’s wife shares health update on NASCAR Truck Series driver

Stewart Friesen was competing in a Super DIRTcar Series race at Autodrome Drummond in Drummondville, Quebec, Canada, when his No. 44 car jumped the cushion at the end of the backstretch. The car tipped onto its side and hit the end of the wall. It then flipped and rolled over the barrier multiple times before bursting into flames.

Jessica said her husband suffered fractures to his pelvis and right leg that will need surgery. She gave another update on Thursday morning, saying he has been admitted to a level one trauma center in New York.

“Stewart has successfully made it back to the United States and has been admitted to a Level One trauma center in New York,” Jessica said. “Stewart’s injuries are extensive, and we are thankful that we have been able to get him to a place that has the experience necessary to complete all of the surgeries that he needs.”

In the NASCAR Truck Series, Friesen drives the No. 52 Toyota for Halmar Friesen Racing. He won the Michigan race in June, making him eligible for the playoffs. It’s not clear when Friesen will return to the racetrack, but the priority for him is recovering from his injuries.
