Stewart-Haas Racing hauler involved in multi-vehicle accident in Texas
? Sam Sharpe-USA TODAY Sports

As the NASCAR Cup Series turns their attention to Phoenix Raceway this weekend, Stewart-Haas Racing has a lot on their plate.

Evidently, one of their haulers was involved in an accident on Friday morning near Geronimo, Texas, per Joseph Srigley of TobyChristie.com. The hauler is now on its way back to Concord, North Carolina, according to the report.

Video was captured of the aftermath of an incident by Skewcar on X (formerly known as Twitter), which you can check out below.

As you can see, the Stewart-Haas Racing logo is clearly visible on the hauler, along with many other damaged vehicles on the scene. Per TxDOT’s social media accounts via Srigley, “the accident resulted in the closure of all lanes at Interstate 10 East on Thursday. As a result, traffic had backed up from Geronimo to El Paisano, a stretch of highway that appears to be separated by a single highway exit.”

An incident like that is something nobody ever wants to see on the road. Continuing, Stewart-Haas Racing provided TobyChristie.com with additional details on the incident, “On the way back to the shop in North Carolina, a Stewart-Haas transporter pulled off the highway and onto the shoulder.

“While stopped, a car side-swiped the transporter. The accident has since been cleaned up, the transported has been repaired, and our drivers are back on the road to North Carolina,” they added.

According to the report, the hauler that’s seen involved in the incident was not a week-to-week hauler, but an additional hauler used when NASCAR goes West. Even with the incident, the team should be fine when it comes to competing at Phoenix.

Additionally, the damage wasn’t too bad to the hauler, “The statement from the team indicates any damage was easily fixable, likely not causing any major problems down the road for the four-car operation,” Srigley added.

Stewart-Haas Racing will have their four cars, featuring Chase Briscoe, Ryan Preece, Noah Gragson and Josh Berry, ready to roll in the desert, even with a slight hiccup in their travel plans taking place.
