Running double duty today in the Truck Series and ARCA Menards Series, Thomas Annunziata is a winner at Lime Rock Park. On Lap 1, Brent Crews and Annunziata spun out, fighting for the lead. The No. 70 ended up with the last laugh, winning the race.

Thomas Annunziata and Nitro Motorsports are victorious. Likely his best opportunity to be in a winning situation in his early NASCAR/ARCA career, Annunziata made the most of it.

This ARCA race was chaotic, as many of these races are. At the end, Annunziata was running away from the field. Alon Day tried to make up for his mistake of missing pit road, but he didn’t have enough time to get it done.

Winning with a damaged car is satisfying. Getting your first career win is even more so. Celebrate, young man!

Thomas Annunziata is still new to stock car racing. He is very much following in the footsteps of other young drivers like Connor Mosack, Brent Crews, and Connor Zilisch. Had it not been for a restart penalty against Crews, this race was going to come down to him and Annunziata.

While he hasn’t had the flashy wins, Annunziata is someone to watch for in NASCAR. He is running races with Cope Family Racing this season in the Xfinity Series. He is more of a road course racer, but he isn’t lost on the ovals. There is a chance that he develops into a very well-rounded race car driver.

Before today, Annunziata had raced at Lime Rock in the Trans-Am Series. That experience likely paid off big time today as he navigated the road course in Connecticut.

Thomas Annunziata finding his opportunities in NASCAR

Compared to a Zilisch or Crews, Thomas Annunziata doesn’t have the same manufacturer support as those drivers. He is still looking for his place in the grand scheme of the NASCAR world. That’s why he is racing Chevys in the Xfinity Series and a Toyota in ARCA.

Annunziata had a really strong run in the Truck Series race earlier today. Then, a late-race incident led him to settle for a P15 result in his series debut. Not a bad race for him at all. He got his first taste of Spire Motorsports equipment as well. That would be a great place for him to land, maybe a full-time ride in 2026.

After this win in the ARCA Menards Series, I think a full-time ride is what’s next for Thomas Annunziata. He is a young driver with a lot of raw talent. In the right situation, he could really develop into a solid stock car driver.
